1. Project Overview

Hizenergy has successfully commissioned a 375 kW / 837 kWh commercial and industrial (C&I) energy storage system for a farm in the Benelux region.By integrating the EnerBox energy storage cabinet system with the farm’s existing solar installation, the project improves renewable energy utilization, reduces electricity costs, and enhances the farm’s energy independence — a key step toward smarter and more sustainable agriculture.

2. Smart Solar-Storage Integration: Simple, Efficient, and Scalable

The solution features three EnerBox 125 kW / 279 kWh liquid-cooled storage cabinets, seamlessly integrated with the farm’s photovoltaic system and directly connected to the AC distribution panel for a quick and simple grid connection.Thanks to its modular, plug-and-play design, the system was commissioned with just two hours of on-site work, minimizing disruption and installation costs.

Highlights:

• Maximized solar utilization : stores excess PV energy for peak-hour use, cutting grid reliance and stabilizing power supply.
• Comprehensive data metering: monitors PV generation, storage, and auxiliary loads for full transparency and lifecycle management.
• AI-powered EMS:Hizenergy’s Energy Management System optimizes operation through intelligent data analytics and real-time control.

3.Unlocking New Value through Market Participation

Beyond energy savings, the project enables the farm to participate in Belgium’s evolving market-based power system, creating multiple revenue streams.With EnerBox, the farm can now:

• Trade energy through electricity arbitrage;
• Provide ancillary grid services to support stability
